Category: Station News

North Platte viewers asked for it, and 10/11 North Platte is responding: 10/11 North Platte News Ten at 10 has now expanded to a full 30-minute newscast.

“We exist to serve our viewers,” said 10/11 News Director Stephanie Hedrick. “Since we launched 10/11 North Platte News in September, we’ve had an amazing response and demand for even more news. We’re happy to give our viewers what they want.”

10/11 North Platte News at Ten will begin with ten minutes of the news that matters most to North Platte, co-anchored by Adam Uhernik & Kristin Bauer. Meteorologist Rusty Dawkins follows with a North Platte area forecast. Then, by utilizing 10/11’s statewide network, North Platte viewers will get Husker sports and more news from across the state from 10/11’s studios in Lincoln.

“Having a statewide network gives us and our viewers a huge advantage,” said Hedrick. “Not only can we provide viewers in North Platte with local news from their city, but our cameras and crews across the state can provide instant access to other news that matters to North Platte. This new half hour format will showcase that.”

10/11 launched 10/11 North Platte (KNPL) on September 1st. Its local North Platte newscasts began on September 3rd. The 10/11 North Platte studio is located at 400 N. Dewey in historic downtown North Platte.
