Every year, PROMAX/BDA recognizes the best of local TV promotion, and on Thursday, June 20th at Station Summit 2017, the awards were held at The Mirage in Las Vegas. Mario Lopez hosted the red-carpet show. Gray stations WKYT, WOWT, WDBJ and KKTV were nominated for awards.

This was the first year WDBJ7 entered the PROMAX/BDA Local Awards and the first time the station medaled. The Silver win was for “Inside our Home”, a campaign that showcased talent while driving home WDBJ7’s Your Hometown Station brand. Creative Services Director Joany D’Agostino was the producer on the project. Creative Services Producer Andrew Christy served as photographer and editor.
